Microsoft to End NAV 2013 Support

by | Nov 15, 2017 | Microsoft Dynamics NAV

Last week, Microsoft announced that they will be ending Mainstream Support for Dynamics NAV 2013 and Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 on 9th January 2018. This means that security updates and bug fixes will no longer be issued for the product and support cases will not be accepted. This stage of Extended Support is designed to provide a transition period for those customers who need a little more time to upgrade.

Though Microsoft Partners can still provide day-to-day end-user support and troubleshooting, the version retirement means that cases can no longer be escalated to Microsoft and this may impact the level of support partners can provide. Customers already on a service plan can continue to access certain benefits through Microsoft CustomerSource, including:
• Previously released Upgrades, Updates, Service Packs, Fixes and Regulatory/Tax Updates
• Self-Help Support through Knowledge Base articles and online content
• Unlimited Online Training

Extended Support costs the same as standard maintenance fees, or the Business Ready Enhancement Plan (BREP), priced at 16% of licence value. To make the most of this payment, we suggest taking the opportunity to upgrade to Dynamics NAV 2018, available from 1st December. We’ll even offer a Fixed Price Upgrade deal, giving you financial security and peace of mind.
