How to deal with high volumes in e-fulfillment? Choose an integration

by | Aug 18, 2022 | Logistics

The number of online-ordered articles keeps growing, and there is no sign that this will stop growing in the near future. In the last four years, this number has almost doubled. And for 2022, the expected e-commerce sales are estimated at $5.424 trillion worldwide. So, booming business! However, these numbers also cause high pressure on your warehouse; when you receive an order, you must pick it up and send it in no time. In that case, an integration with the web shop of your customer can make your process much more efficient, quicker and probably also more fun. In our standard solution, different integrations are already present that can be of value for your organization. Therefore, you do not have to reinvent the wheel yourself, but you can benefit from the others in the peloton.

Shopify

One of these integrations, which has recently been realized, is the integration with Shopify. Shopify is a license-based software package on which your customers can build their own website to sell their products.

The integration with Shopify

The integration via the DataHub automatically gains the orders from Shopify. These are captured in your WMS solution. In this way, a shipment is created with the ordered articles. When the complete order is picked and packed, it is automatically ‘fulfilled’ and the tracking data is sent to the receiver of the ordered products.

Less manual activities mean fewer mistakes

By integrating with Shopify, you do not need manual actions to handle the e-fulfillment activities via Shopify. That means that fewer human mistakes are made in your process. Colleagues do not miss any important data and with one click you set your order to status ready.

Without having to create a shipment, you will find it in your system once set available for you as a logistics service provider. When your process is ready, and you have handled the order completely, the system directly reports this back to Shopify.

Integrating with WooCommerce and Amazon? No problem!

Besides Shopify, 3PL Dynamics knows multiple existing integrations via the DataHub with different platforms and web shops. In fact, we already realized over 200 integrations – also for e-fulfillment. For example, you can benefit from the integration with WooCommerce, the web shop platform of WordPress (42% of all websites are hosted via WordPress). And, you can already easily integrate with Amazon and Bol.com.

ChannelEngine

Furthermore, a similar integration as for Shopify is realized with ChannelEngine. This is also a platform on which your customers can build their own website to sell products. In this way, you can reduce the number of manual activities for customers who work with this as well as the other named platforms, and you can handle the large volumes in your process without any problems.

A new integration via DataHub

Are you interested in using one of the existing integrations? Or does your customer use a different platform, and do you want to set up an integration with that? Then we can also realize new integrations for you via the DataHub platform. This offers the possibility to automatically process data in your own system as well as that of your customers. In this way, you can keep doing what you are good at, without losing employees to manually typing in every e-commerce order. Do you want to learn more about one of the integrations? Get in touch!
